The national committee of the Syrian Civil platform held its second meeting from the 1st until the 8th of August 2016 in Adana, Turkey. This meeting was attended by the delegates of 13 local platforms from inside Syria and neighboring countries. Representatives from Jordan, Lebanon, Kurdistan as well as Daraa , Qunaitra , Homs and the northern borders from Sarmda participated via Webex.
During that meeting, the delegates went through the outcomes of the humanitarian file consultations that took place in March and April with local communities inside Syria as well as the neighboring countries. Those consultations focused on ceasefire, besieged areas and detainees. The delegates added suggestions and final recommendations before approving the document.
In addition, many issues related to the political transition were thoroughly discussed. The delegates focused on the civil society role and participation in the negotiations, structure of transitional governing body and its authorities and confidence building measures that should be implemented to insure the success of the process as a whole.
In the upcoming days, the final outcomes of the meeting will be published as follow:

– The Humanitarian File.
– TGB structure and authorities.
– Confidence Building Measures.
