More Stability, No more War and Destruction
Considering the progress that the SDF and the international collation are making, they will soon be able to control all of Raqqa city. Therefore, the race between the stakeholders for governance of the city is heightening, particularly in light of the disagreements and conflict between the regional and international powers. In the meantime, the civilians in Raqqa are still suffering from the battles and lack of aid. Raqqa Local Platform has been working with numerous civil society organizations and civic activists in the area on consultations and discussions in order to produce a position paper that reflects these civilian groups’ stance on the powers and priorities of the conflict factions towards the civilians’ humanitarian and legal needs in Raqqa.
